Jewel Box

Islington extension 'Jewel Box' really is a Jewel amongst the brick laden terraces of London. Somehow the dynamic timber facade fits snug within its dense surroundings, every element detailed to define exquisite connections. Vertical larch batten facade meets horizontal ceiling battens of the interior, thick concrete walls hover over cobblestones & panes of glass are lightly framed by thin black steel joinery.

I love the natural timber batten screens that contrast the stark white rendered walls.
